Golden Harvest Handmade Black Tea
Balanced Oxidation, Floral Freshness
Handpicked at dawn from a single cultivar at Basilur Estate, this tea undergoes a carefully controlled artisanal process. Fresh bud and two leaves material are naturally withered indoors, then fully hand-rolled for 2 hours, initiating controlled oxidation lasting only 20-40 minutes, significantly shorter than conventional black tea. This limited oxidation protects sensitive catechin compounds while allowing the development of complex flavour.
The cup pours a warm reddish-orange liquor with floral and vegetal notes, finished with a lingering mint character. Light yet layered, it offers a harmonious sensory experience.

Tender buds and young leaves plucked at dawn undergo immediate pan-firing using traditional kill-green methodology, instantly halting enzymatic oxidation and preserving the leaf's original catechin architecture. Full hand rolling shapes the leaves without mechanical stress, and gentle dehydration stabilises the preserved compounds.
